Social media design

Social media design that stops the scroll and still looks like you

We design social templates, launch creative, and paid social ads that read in a half-second glance and still look like your brand. Your feed is a touchpoint, and every touchpoint is a chance to show who you are.

In short

Splash Creative designs social media templates, launch campaigns, and paid social creative built from your brand identity. The work starts with your audience, platforms, and how your team publishes, and delivers editable templates, campaign assets sized for each placement, and ad variations ready for testing. Publishing, community management, and media buying are only included when they are agreed in the scope.

Our view

Most brands treat social as a separate world from the brand: a different look, a new template every month, posts that could belong to anyone. The opposite mistake is a system so rigid that every post looks identical and people scroll right past. Someone gives your post half a second. In that time it has to read as you and say one thing.

What we do instead

We build social from the identity, so a post, a story, and an ad look like the same company as your website and packaging. We fix the core brand elements and give your team a range of layouts for products, announcements, quotes, and events, set up in the tools they already use. For paid social, we plan several versions of the hook, image, and format so you can test without drifting off brand.

Where we've done it

For Isaac Mizrahi, the ads had to feel fun and irreverent without losing the brand's polish, stop a scroll, and drive tune-in to a live QVC event. RexMD needed campaign and social creative in a category loaded with stigma. We've also designed social graphics and templates for GenOne, a sports card collecting brand, and for Roadway Moving as part of a wider brand and campaign system.

What social media design includes

  • 01

    Template systems

Editable templates for posts, stories, carousels, and video covers, built in the tools your team already uses. Fixed where the brand needs consistency, flexible where the content changes.

  • 02

    Launch creative

A coordinated set of assets for a product launch, an opening, or a rebrand reveal, designed as one campaign rather than a pile of unrelated posts.

  • 03

    Paid social creative

Ads designed with multiple hooks, images, and formats so results can be compared. Testing is how you learn what works, and every variation should still look like you.

  • 04

    Format by placement

Feed, stories, reels, and carousels each have different ratios, safe zones, and interface overlays. We design around where the profile name, buttons, and captions sit so nothing important gets covered.

  • 05

    Built for a phone

Minimum type sizes, contrast rules, and word limits for text on images, plus captions for video watched with the sound off. Your audience sees the post on a phone, so that's where we check it.

  • 06

    Guidance for use

A short guide covering which elements stay fixed, how to choose images, and how to write on-image text. Your team should be able to make a good post on a Tuesday afternoon without calling a designer.

Social and campaign work.

All work

We're a good fit if...

  • Your feed looks like five different designers made it, because it was.
  • You're launching something and need the campaign to look the same on social as on your site and packaging.
  • You're running paid social and the creative looks nothing like your brand.
  • Your team posts often but starts from a blank canvas every single time.
  • You've just rebranded and your social presence hasn't caught up.
  • You need ads that stop the scroll in a category where everyone looks the same.

Not a fit

Not a fit if you're looking for someone to post daily, reply to comments, and manage ad spend; we design the creative and the system, and anything beyond that has to be agreed in the scope. It's also not a fit if you want trend-chasing content that has nothing to do with your brand.

How a social media design project with us works

  1. 01

    Audience and platforms

We start with who you're trying to reach, which platforms matter, and how your team actually publishes. Templates are built for the tools and workflow you have, not an ideal one.

  2. 02

    Creative direction

We translate your identity into social: how type, color, photography, and motion behave in a feed. You approve the direction on real sample posts before we build the full system.

  3. 03

    System and campaign build

We design the template set and any launch or paid creative in scope, sized for every placement you use. Ad creative comes with variations ready to test.

  4. 04

    Handoff

Your team gets editable templates and a short guide for using them. We go through the system with the people who will use it, so their first posts look right.

  5. 05

    Learn and adjust

Once the creative is live, performance shows what lands and what gets skipped. Where ongoing support is agreed, we refine the templates and ads from what the numbers say.

Templates or campaign creative?

Both are connected to the wider brand. They serve different moments in how the brand shows up on social.

Questions, answered.

Will you run our social media accounts?

Not by default. We design the templates, campaigns, and ad creative, and publishing, community management, and media buying are only included when agreed in the scope. The system is built so your team can post in-house with confidence.

Do you design paid social ads?

Yes. We design ad creative with several versions of the hook, image, and format so you can test what works, all built from the same brand system as your organic posts.

What tools are the templates built in?

The ones your team already uses. Templates have editable text and image areas, so someone who isn't a designer can make a new post without breaking the layout.

Do we need a brand identity before social media design?

It helps. Social works best as an extension of a defined identity. If yours isn't ready, we can build the identity first or develop both together, so your feed doesn't become the place your brand gets invented by accident.

How long does a social media design project take?

A template system is usually quicker than a full launch campaign. Timing depends on how many formats and platforms are in scope and whether the identity already exists, and we plan the schedule around any launch date you're working toward.

How is social media design priced?

The fee reflects the number of templates and formats, whether launch or paid creative is included, how many ad variations you need, and whether any ongoing production is part of it. We set scope, timing, and fee in a written proposal before we start. Share your budget and we'll recommend where it does the most good.
