Questions we hear before every project. Still wondering? Ask us directly.
Right before a moment that puts you in front of new people: a launch, a fundraise, or a hiring push. Before product-market fit, a focused launch identity is usually enough. After a Series A, most teams need a full system that can grow with them.
A focused launch identity takes four to six weeks. A full strategy and identity engagement takes eight to twelve weeks, and brand plus website together usually take twelve to sixteen weeks.
It depends on stage. Pre-seed teams usually start with a Focused engagement from about $8,000. Seed to Series A companies typically invest $12,000 or more in a full identity, and from about $25,000 up to $75,000 when the website is included.
Yes. The studio is in Englewood, NJ, and works with clients worldwide. We meet New York City and tri-state teams in person for workshops and key milestones, and work with startups anywhere else remotely.
Yes. We design and build custom websites on WordPress and Shopify in-house, usually in the same engagement as the brand so the site launches with the new identity.
Brand and product can move in parallel, but lock your core positioning before you invest heavily in either. The brand is the story the product lives inside, so the positioning has to come first.
Five questions: Does the process start with strategy, or go straight to design? Who works on the project day to day, and will you have access to them throughout? Can they show work for a company at a similar stage? What is the exact list of deliverables? Is there support after the project ends? At Splash Creative, David Herskowitz is on every project from the first call to final delivery.
A clear sense of who you sell to, a few competitors you watch, and the people who will make decisions. The first two weeks of every project turn that into a written positioning statement.
